Why polarisation?
The surface of the skin reflects light - daylight and flashlight
when taking pictures. Classical dermatoscopes counteract this with contact fluid
and direct skin contact. The DermoGenius ultra has a polarisation filter built in
and no contact liquid is needed.

polarisation filters take over the task.
This ergonomically perfect design incorporates the most sophisticated technology: the brilliant optics "Made in Germany" in combination with a special 5-megapixel camera delivers high-resolution images beyond FullHD resolution. Operation is intuitive. The low weight of the handpiece and special design (approx. 220 g) ensure ergonomic working.
A quick change from one treatment room to the next, to your second office or taking the device with you during external home visits is made possible by the standardised connection of the video dermoscope to a USB2/USB3 interface of the PC used that allows plug & play.
This is where the use of high-quality optoelectronics "Made in Germany" comes into play. Standardised image acquisition is the indispensable prerequisite for reproducible image acquisition and analysis. This includes colour normalisation, shading correction and constant imaging parameters. Camera calibration is performed with integrated calibration software by capturing a single calibration image every 3 months to compensate for the slow ageing processes of the LED and camera sensor.
All image data is managed in the database according to patient and location.
In the gallery, all images of a patient are clearly displayed together with relevant data (such as admission and excision date or image comments).
The zoom function enables an optimal assessment of the details of structure and colour of a lesion, even in direct side-by-side comparison in maximum resolution with up to 4 images in one display.
Furthermore, you have the option in the database, among other things, to select a lesion based on the ICD10 code or to note an individual comment on the admission.
When an excision date is entered, it is assigned to the corresponding image in the gallery and immediately makes it clear that the lesion has been removed the next time the patient is called up.
Documentation: Printouts or digital documents (pdf) facilitate internal documentation in other management programmes and can, for example, be transmitted to colleagues or handed over to the patient.
Multi-user and network capability: DermoGenius ultra is available as a single-user and network solution. If required, any PC in a network can be used as a recording and evaluation station. We will be happy to advise you in order to find the optimal solution for you!
Safety: The unit is a class I medical device and complies with the requirements of the German Medical Devices Act (MPG) and the EU Directive 93/42/EEC.
Service: You expect good and competent service - our services include everything from the hotline to remote support making your work easy and minimising possible system downtimes.
Practice marketing: We are also happy to support you with information brochures, posters and waiting room presentations for your patients.
